We invite international and German students to join the interdisciplinary class SCR – Sustainable Conflict Resolution. In this course, you will: • Develop competences in conflict resolution and mediation. • Strengthen your negotiation skills in an interdisciplinary and intercultural context. • Learn to design and apply strategies for sustainable and fair solutions to disputes. Experience a negotiation simulation! Instead of relying on traditional judicial decisions, you will actively participate in a realistic negotiation exercise. This hands-on approach will help you understand how cooperation, compromise, and creative problem-solving can lead to outcomes that courts alone cannot achieve. Credits & Study Programs The class can be taken as a project, seminar, or elective by students from different study programs – subject to confirmation by your program director. • 2–5 ECTS are possible: o 2 ECTS: participation in the 2 weekly hours (SWS) and the negotiation simulation. o 5 ECTS: participation in the full course, including the additional 2 weekly hours of theoretical case study work with Silvia and a written exam at the end. Open to students from all disciplines and cultural backgrounds. Join us to explore how sustainable conflict resolution can build bridges across borders, interests, and perspectives. |
